About the Transportation Master Plan
The Town of Grimsby, in partnership with a consulting team led by CIMA+, is developing a Town-wide Transportation Master Plan (TMP) that will strategically guide the planning, design and implementation of transportation and mobility infrastructure, maintenance, operations, policies, and programming over the next 20+ years. The TMP will build on previous strategic planning undertaken by the Town, such as the recently adopted Downtown Reimagined study and Recreational Trails Master Plan, and be coordinated with the ongoing Grimsby Official Plan Review to ensure a coordinated, forward-looking approach to growth and mobility.
We are pleased to announce we are holding the second Public Information Centre for the Transportation Master Plan, being held jointly with the Town's Official Plan Review. Join us on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Grimsby Town Hall, 160 Livingston Avenue.
To stay involved and informed, please subscribe for project updates in the right side of the page. The TMP will be developed based on your input and the input of other community members and stakeholders.

Phase 2: Background Review, Data Collection & Analysis - Spring / Summer 2024
Transportation Master Plan has finished this stage
The documentation and review of existing conditions, policies and programs and the development of the vision and objectives
Phase 3: Community Engagement Round 1 - June 2024
Transportation Master Plan has finished this stage
The first opportunity for public and stakeholder involvement to confirm the project goals and gather input on existing conditions, challenges, and opportunities
Phase 4: Development of Proposed Transportation Network & Strategies - Summer 2024 to Fall 2025
Transportation Master Plan has finished this stage
The development of the proposed transportation network and associated strategies and recommendations for consideration by the Town, including a road safety strategy, wayfinding strategy, street naming policy, parking policies and strategy, as well as an active transportation and complete streets strategy.
Phase 5: Community Engagement Round 2 - Winter 2026
Transportation Master Plan is currently at this stage
This second opportunity for public and stakeholder involvement will confirm and refine the phase 4 outcomes, help prioritize the plan's actions and strategies, and gather input on how the plan will be implemented.
Phase 6: Prepare Draft & Final Report – Winter/Spring 2026
this is an upcoming stage for Transportation Master Plan
Consolidate the background work and recommendations to create draft and final versions of the Transportation Master Plan report.
