Consultation has concluded
The survey component of this project has now been completed.
The Town has been working with local residents in the Winston Road neighbourhood to understand what community benefits might be wanted in the area by taking a short survey. A few developments within the Winston Road Neighbourhood have sought additional height and density from that permitted in the Town’s Zoning By-Law in exchange for providing community benefits, in accordance with the Section 37 of the Planning Act and the Town’s Official Plan. Community benefits can take many forms, such as the provision of facilities or monies towards open space, community facilities, public art and more, so your input into this short survey will be very helpful.
The results of the survey will be used by the Working Group of Councillors and community members dedicated to this project to focus the community benefits requested of the developers. The Town will then finalize the details of the community benefits to be provided and the timing of those facilities through the development agreement process.
The survey results will also be used to inform other projects in the Town, such as the Casablanca Waterfront Project consultation which is currently underway and future Town planning for parks, trails or road improvement projects in the area. Depending on the results of the survey, community benefits may include new features / facilities or enhancements from that already budgeted in existing projects. A map of potential areas for the community benefits has been provided to offer residents a better understanding where community benefits might be located.

Welcome to the Community Benefit Survey for the Winston Road Neighbourhood! We are going to be asking a few questions to better understand your preferences regarding community benefits and gain a bit of insight about you.
