In 2022, the Town of Grimsby joined together to celebrate its Centennial year. Residents from the past, present and maybe even the future engaged with its community by connecting, commemorating and celebrating! Since the webpage launch, there have been 2.8k visits from all channels. We thank you all for your participation and look forward to 2023.

Show us your Planted Legacy Tree!

This year we are celebrating Grimsby 100! For the centennial year we have developed a Centennial Year Legacy Tree Program! There will be various initiatives and programs to get involved. Using an interactive mapping system we plan to monitor all residential tree plantings to track our progress!

Plant Bur Oak for Future Generations

We planted the Bur Oak seedling between to Ash trees we have been nursing for ten years. The arborists have told us we will eventually lose these mature trees. Oak trees once lined our street (Maple Ave.) so this will replace one tree lost to development. Future generations will enjoy collecting the acorns, like we did as children.
