Where Your Property Tax Dollars Go

When you pay property taxes in Grimsby, you are investing in services, infrastructure, and programs that support our community every day. Property tax dollars help fund essential services provided by the Town of Grimsby, the Region of Niagara, and local school boards.

For every $100 in property taxes collected:

  • $63 supports Regional services
  • $26 supports Town services
  • $11 supports Education

The choices made in Grimsby’s 2027 Budget focus on the Town's 26% share of the property taxes and how these funds are allocated to balance community priorities and service levels.

    Your feedback is important to us!

    The Town provides a wide range of services to the community, while balancing affordability, infrastructure needs, growth and long-term planning.

    We are seeking your input to help us better understand which services are a priority to you.

    The survey will be available from September 15 to October 31, 2026.

    Paper copies are available at Town Hall, Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre, Grimsby Public Library, Grimsby Public Art Gallery, and Grimsby Museum. The survey can also be downloaded, printed and dropped off at any of these locations.
