Thank you to all of the local businesses that took the time to participate in the BR&E initiative. Data obtained through the full BR&E survey, 30 Second Quick Polls and Task Force Retreats influenced the development of Grimsby’s BR&E Action Plan.


Results from the BR&E initiative will directly influence the Town’s upcoming Economic Development Strategy, which will support local Grimsby businesses to grow, create jobs and stay in Grimsby.

    On May 20th, 2021, the Town of Grimsby’s Economic Development Advisory Committee (GEDAC), in partnership with the Grimsby Chamber of Commerce, launched the Town’s first Business Retention & Expansion (BR&E) initiative with local businesses.

    From initial responses from the BR&E survey, the project team heard local business concerns about needing access to resources to assist amidst COVID-19.

    In response, a COVID-19 Business Support page, which can be found under the “Let’s Talk Business” tab on the Town’s website, has been launched to connect local businesses with valuable information regarding:

    • Federal, Provincial & Municipal business grants
    • Sourcing Personal
