Budget Survey 2022

Thank you for your participation in the Town of Grimsby Budget Survey 2022, which ran from December 7, 2021 to January 11, 2022. Feedback submitted helped the Town better understand resident priorities and informed the 2022 and future capital and operating budgets.

UPDATE - February 23, 2022:

During the February 22, 2022 Council meeting, Grimsby Town Council unanimously approved the 2022 Budget, which goes beyond pandemic recovery to build today for a better Grimsby tomorrow.

The operating and capital works associated with the 2022 Budget results in a 1.99 per cent local tax increase and a combined local, regional and education tax increase of 2.29 per cent. The local tax increase amounts to an additional $36 per year ($3 a month), for an average residential household assessed at $442,000, and is well below the current 5.19 per cent inflation rate.
