Key Dates
Nomination, Registration and Campaign Period Begins
Candidates, and Third Party Advertisers may begin filing the prescribed Nomination and registration forms. After Candidates file Nomination forms, the Campaign period begins and the Use of Corporate Resources Policy is now applicable.
Nomination Day
The final date for Candidates to submit or withdraw Nomination forms. Nominations or Withdrawals cannot be accepted after 2 p.m.
Election Signs Permitted to be Posted
Refer to the Election Sign By-law for guidelines on the appropriate use of Election Signs.
Internet Voting Begins
Internet Voting will begin on October 5 at 12pm and operate until October 26 at 8pm.
Advanced Poll #1
The first Advanced Poll will be held on Wednesday October 14 from 10am - 8pm at the Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre.
Advanced Poll #2
The second Advanced Poll will be held on Saturday October 17 from 10am - 6pm at the Major Refrigeration Peach King Centre.
Registration for Third Party Advertiser Deadline
Last day for third party advertisers to file a notice of registration or withdrawal. The filing must be made no later than 4:30 p.m.
Election Day
In-person voting will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Electors must attend the designated Polling Location on their Voter Information Letter.
Declaration of Results
Official results for the 2026 Municipal Election will be posted on the Town of Grimsby's Website.
2022-2026 Term of Office Ends
The 2022-2026 Council Term of Office officially ends.
