Add washrooms. Without imposing upon a business, there are no washrooms downtown.

Washrooms at the Lions Swimming pool are far away from downtown. If you are going to have a vibrant downtown, you must have public washrooms.

Pedestrian Bridge linking Grimsby from the lake side to the escarpment

There isn't a safe road to take children on bike rides from the lake side of Grimsby to the escarpment side. I propose adding a pedestrian Bridge across the hwy on Nelles Road. It would be fantastic for us outdoor enthusiasts who want to take in all that Grimsby can offer.

Pedestrian only Main Street from Ontario St. to Elm St.

Pedestrian only Main Street from Ontario St. to Elm St.

Hello, I am a lifelong Grimsby resident and I work in the field of Architecture. I have a strong interest in urban planning and would love to see a reimagined downtown. I have also had the chance to backpack Europe, and I have traveled to many different countries. Here are my suggestions. Cobble stone street, or pavers ideally with monuments on both ends to act as barriers to cars. This will improve foot traffic for businesses and be a local tourist attraction. A two story car park behind the giant tiger with electric charging to attract out of town tourists with electric cars. By-law enforcement for building uniformity, no more ugly ads on windows, keep the Grimsby look. We don't want to become like Beamsville. Be open to high rises that keep the front of existing buildings the same. The use of clay brick for new builds. Thank you for listening. Joseph

Take advantage of the stunning location at 63 Main St W. (Plaza with Food Basics) Revamp the storefront aesthetic to match the new downtown.

It’s a beautiful location, being nestled right at the foot of the escarpment. Easily one of Grimsby’s most breathtaking plots of land, especially driving South on Christie St. as it turns into Mountain St. I’d like to see that spot looking congruent with the new and improved downtown. (No more neon signage, rebuild the storefronts, add gardens, benches, beautiful street lanterns, etc)
