Welcome to the Town of Grimsby Corporate Climate Action Plan Community Consultation Hub!
The Town of Grimsby is preparing a Corporate Climate Action Plan that will assist Council and staff in planning, prioritizing, and implementing actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from municipal operations and improve long-term climate resilience.
Project Scope
The Corporate Climate Action Plan focuses on emissions and climate risks associated with Town-owned buildings, facilities, vehicles, streetlighting, and other municipal infrastructure and operations. It establishes a clear, evidence-based roadmap for reducing corporate greenhouse gas emissions while aligning with asset management, budgeting, and service delivery priorities. This plan does not address community-wide emissions from residents or businesses.
The Plan will seek to:
Assess climate-related risks to Town infrastructure and operations through a Climate Risk Assessment
Identify viable clean and low-carbon technologies through a Cleantech Sector Assessment
Establish prioritized decarbonization actions to achieve the Town’s corporate emissions reduction target
Conduct public consultation and integrate community input into communication, implementation, and reporting approaches
Align climate action with asset renewal, financial planning, and operational decision-making
Support monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement over time
Your input is a critical part of this process!
Although the CCAP applies to corporate (municipal) operations, community input is important. Your feedback helps us understand local experiences with climate change, public awareness of climate risks as well as the expectations that you have of us for managing them. This input will help inform future communication, implementation, and reporting.
The survey, provided below, should take 5–7 minutes to complete. Responses are anonymous.
If you have additional comments or questions that you would like to share outside of this survey, you are welcome to contact us using the information provided in the 'Who's Listening" tab in the sidebar.
This survey closes on February 4th, 2026. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective.
